Employee Recognition Day 2017
Employee Recognition Day was held at Sandmeyer Steel on November 3rd, 2017. After a company-wide catered lunch, awards were handed out for 2 through 40 years of service with the company. Later that evening, a Recognition Day dinner was held at The Union League Golf Club at Torresdale for retirees and employees reaching 25 years of service.

Here is some new footage of our Quickmill Annihilator Machine in action, drilling a series of holes at high speed. The new machine can handle stacked drilling through 8.0″ (203.2mm). With the expansion of its processing capabilities, Sandmeyer bolsters its ability to deliver near-net shapes in hard-to-find grades.

To add to our collection of special cut shapes, here is photo of a recent job of 2 pieces of 1 1/2″ thick 304 cut to our customer’s provided specifications. Due to our vast on-site inventory and processing capabilities, we are able to deliver orders like this faster than our typical competitors’ timeline.

As part of our “Sandmeyer Serves” program of volunteer activity, employees recently donated their time to local organization Cathedral Kitchen in Camden, NJ.
Cathedral Kitchen serves nutritious meals for impoverished residents of Camden, and served 100,000 meals in 2016 alone. On Saturday, the Sandmeyer team prepped and served plates, wrapped food to-go, and assisted in cleanup.

This image shows a stack of four type 304 ½” thick x 40” outside diameter heat exchanger baffles with 5/8” diameter holes drilled in the stack for speed and economy. This was done on the new Sandmeyer Steel Company Quick-Mill Annihilator.

This is a recent piece we did for our thermal processing equipment manufacturer customer. It’s 9 ft long, cut from 800 with a beveled edge, done on our waterjet machine.

This picture shows the top and bottom of a job done recently at Sandmeyer using a multi-step process. First, the piece was put through the machine shop and we roughed the OD and the ID, taking a lot of the bevel off. Next, the pieces were brought to be finished on our heavy duty milling machine.
