Sandmeyer News

Sandmeyer Steel Company has added Alloy 200/201 (UNS N02200/N02201) commercially pure nickel plate to one of North America’s largest single-site nickel alloy plate inventory.

The alloys combine good mechanical properties with excellent resistance to many corrosive environments. They are dual-certifiable with the lower carbon 201 preferred for temperatures above 600°F (315°C).

Alloy 200/201 perform best in reducing environments such as caustic soda and other alkalis, but can also be used under oxidizing conditions that produce a passive oxide film.

They are used extensively for missile components, chemical and petrochemical processing, food processing , marine service and water treatment.

Plate thicknesses are available from .1875” (4.8mm) through 1.00” (25.4mm) from your one-stop-shop source for value-added plate products.
