About

One of the tenets of the Sandmeyer Steel Company Vision Statement is to make “significant contributions, through philanthropy and volunteerism, to the communities in which we work and live.” Sandmeyer Serves was established in direct response to that goal. The Sandmeyer Serves program provides opportunities for employees and retirees to give back to local communities through service as well as through the donations of goods and money. The program is directed by the Sandmeyer Serves Committee which develops and executes Sandmeyer Serves events. Sandmeyer Serves is committed to quarterly events throughout the year, soliciting suggestions from employees to promote employee engagement.

Sandmeyer Steel Company’s Matching Gift Program is also a part of Sandmeyer Serves. Employees and retirees participate by making personal donations to qualified charities of their choice, and the donation is then matched by the Sandmeyer Steel Company Foundation. (Employees and retirees may click here for a Matching Gift Form.)

The inaugural event of Sandmeyer Serves was a day of service at Philabundance, a non-profit food bank that serves Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley Region of Pennsylvania. In addition, the employees and retirees of Sandmeyer Steel Company have donated their time and support to organizations such as Cradles to Crayons in Conshohocken, Fox Chase Cancer Center, and Kleinlife Senior Center in northeast Philadelphia.

On-site collection of school supplies at a Company Family Picnic allowed the whole family to participate.
